Configure Marketing SMS Messaging

This capability sets up SMS senders in Marketing Cloud Next and connects SMS content to flows, so a team can send or demo text messages from a campaign. Most of the evidence is demo builds, and some tasks stopped before anything was sent.

How MeshMesh does it

  1. Analyzes the existing SMS pipeline in the org, then plans the build in phases.
  2. Checks SMS readiness: queries the org for the messaging channel, managed content and permission sets, and walks through the SMS Setup Wizard.
  3. Diagnoses why a sender code cannot be enabled, checking whether the SMS engagement channel type is active and linked to a consent subscription. In one case it tried to activate the channel type by CLI, but the session expired.
  4. Loads individual, contact point and SMS consent records, then sets up identity resolution, a data graph, an SMS segment, SMS content and a campaign flow with a Send SMS action.
  5. Stops and reports when a feature needs the full SMS setup, including code provisioning, and no workaround exists, instead of forcing a change.
  6. Delivers a final report on what was built and what is still open.
