Automate Field Service Defaulting Flows
Get flows that fill in territory, asset or owner on work orders automatically, so records are complete without an admin setting each field by hand.
Method
How MeshMesh does it
- It builds a before-save record-triggered flow that fills in a default service territory on work orders created without one, then deploys it.
- When updating an existing work order flow, it adds a Decision branch for asset and no-asset paths, plus assignment elements that set default line items.
- It deploys the updated flow to the org.
- It fixes errors as they come up, such as duplicate values on related records, by adding a lookup and a decision guard.
- It verifies the flow by creating a test work order and confirming the defaults were set, then deletes the test record.
