Automate Slack Notification Flows
Users get flows that post Slack alerts when Salesforce records change, such as a new case or a completed assignment. Some flows also create a Slack channel and add people to it.
Method
How MeshMesh does it
- Looks for existing Slack setup in the org, such as app and workspace IDs used by an existing flow.
- Builds record-triggered flows that send the Slack message, for example when a case is created or when an assignment is completed.
- Adds supporting Apex where the flow needs it.
- Diagnoses flows that do not fire, such as a wrong workspace ID, an inactive version or a Slack action on the immediate path, then fixes the setup and deploys a new active version.
- Creates related metadata such as a Flow-type Quick Action for a Case button. When it is blocked, for example by a Slack sign-in wall, it hands the user manual steps.
The broader flow work is covered in Automate Record-Triggered Flows.
