Configure Data 360 Data Spaces
Set up data spaces in Data 360 that keep data separate by brand, region or business unit, along with the Business Units and user access they depend on.
Method
How MeshMesh does it
- Explains the Data Spaces architecture when a user is preparing a demo.
- Creates data spaces on the org, renaming the default space and adding a new one with a prefix, then verifies they are Active.
- Tries to assign data lake objects to the spaces through the API. In the evidence this stalled because the request body format stayed unknown.
- Tries to create a data space through the Data 360 REST API. When the org's data space limit blocks it, it stops and offers workarounds: rename the default space or upgrade the license.
- For access changes, tries several API approaches. When the business unit contributor access is locked down, the work moves to deleting and recreating the data space, which a lost browser session then stalled.
