Configure Experience Cloud External Access

Portal users get the right licenses, sharing and object access, so external customers and partners see only the records they should.

20 tasks
Method

How MeshMesh does it

  1. Finds why a portal user cannot see records, checking what the user's license supports. In one case Customer Community Plus did not support Opportunities.
  2. Adds the customer community profile to the site's Network membership through a metadata deploy.
  3. Creates the community User record for the contact.
  4. Grants access by deploying permission sets, creating record shares, enabling profile-level Activity access and setting field-level security.
  5. Verifies that the user is active and a member of the site, and that the portal loads without errors.
  6. When the platform blocks a step, such as changing a portal user's license family through the API, restores the user to the original state and offers other approaches.
  7. Leaves first-time login to the user, who sets a password from the welcome email.
