Deploy Release Runbooks

MeshMesh runs the setup steps that come before and after a release so the target org is ready to use. Typical work includes permissions, public groups, Knowledge and Lightning pages, done in a sandbox or across a batch of sandboxes.

How MeshMesh does it

  1. Reads the release runbook to find which pre- and post-deployment steps are missing or already done, then works through the phases in order.
  2. Runs and verifies each step where it can, through the CLI, Apex or the browser, and leaves alone settings that are already configured, such as page layout assignment.
  3. Sets up access and configuration directly: nests campus public groups into an all-staff group, deploys custom metadata records and links org-wide email addresses to permission sets through Apex.
  4. Skips steps that would cause a conflict, such as Email-to-Case routing, and documents the steps a person must finish.
  5. Moves to the browser for steps the APIs cannot handle, such as Voice Call sharing rules. These steps wait whenever the browser login lapses.
