Build Tableau Next Analytics Agents
Build an agent that answers questions with charts and analytics, backed by Tableau Next and its semantic models, so users can ask about pipeline or agreements and get a visualization back.
Method
How MeshMesh does it
- Sets up Data 360 for the data the agent will chart.
- Builds the Apex classes that query the data the agent will chart.
- Builds a Lightning Web Component that draws the chart with Chart.js, plus a Custom Lightning Type to render it in the agent.
- Writes the Agent Script and sets up the Connected App, permission set, custom metadata and Remote Site Settings.
- Publishes and activates the agent, then checks OAuth and confirms the queries return records.
- Tests the agent end to end and runs a question guide against it.
- After a build, reviews the session and fixes errors in the recipe it follows, adding lessons and validated field mappings.
